# Tags

> Group keys, for example per screen or per release.

Tags let you group keys, for example `checkout`, `e-mail` or `release-3`. A tag applies to all languages of the project.

## Manage tags

In the editor, the list of tags is on the left, with the number of keys per tag. With **Manage tags** (*Tags beheren*) you can:

* add a **New tag** (*Nieuwe tag*) with a name and a color;
* **rename** a tag or give it another color;
* **merge** tags: rename a tag to the name of an existing tag; the keys then get the existing tag and the old one disappears;
* **delete** a tag: the tag is removed from the keys, the keys themselves stay.

## Use tags

* **Filter:** click a tag in the editor, or **Without tag** (*Zonder tag*) to find keys without a tag.
* **Assign:** select keys and choose **Add tag** (*Tag toevoegen*) or **Remove tag** (*Tag verwijderen*).
* **In an import:** give new keys a tag right away with **Add a tag to new keys** (*Tag toevoegen aan nieuwe keys*).
* **AI and export:** an AI translation or export of the current view only includes the keys with the chosen tag.
